The Jackson Custom Shop SL2H Soloist in Inca Silver over Sunburst Tour Relic is a striking tribute to the golden era of Jackson design, combining unmistakable 1980s attitude with Custom Shop craftsmanship. Its roasted alder body is finished in a heavy Nitro-Relic Tour treatment, allowing the Inca Silver over Sunburst finish to reveal the character of a well-traveled stage instrument. The neck-thru construction with scarf joint provides a seamless foundation for sustain, while the caramelized maple neck features a Standard profile measuring .790" at the 3rd fret and .850" at the 12th. The ebony fingerboard carries a 12" to 16" compound radius, 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, sharkfin inlays, black side dots, and elegant ivoroid binding on the neck and headstock.
The Soloist is voiced with a classic Seymour Duncan combination, pairing a '59 neck pickup with Zebra Creme/Black bobbins and a JB bridge pickup with matching Zebra Creme/Black bobbins. Together, they deliver a broad tonal palette ranging from warm, articulate neck tones to powerful, singing bridge sounds. A chrome three-way toggle provides simple control over the pickup selection, while an EVH 500k Low Friction volume control with brass dome knob and a 250K standard tone control with brass dome knob complete the electronics. With a 25.5" scale length, 1-11/16" nut width, and 2-1/4" butt width, the instrument retains the familiar proportions and fast-playing feel that define the Soloist platform.
Hardware is equally faithful to the era, featuring a Floyd Top-Mount 37mm 1984 Chrome bridge and an R3 Floyd Rose locking nut, complemented by Gotoh chrome tuning machines and a combination of brass and chrome hardware. The headstock is finished in black with an 80's white logo, while the oval chrome side-mounted output jack, 17mm brass strap buttons, and black/white/black truss rod cover provide carefully considered finishing touches. There is no body carve, allowing the classic Soloist silhouette and heavily aged finish to remain at the center of its visual identity.
Strung with .009 to .042 strings and set up in standard E A D G B E tuning, this SL2H weighs 7 lbs 12 oz and balances the immediacy of a stage-ready rock instrument with the individuality of a true Custom Shop creation.
