The PRS DGT – McCarty Sunburst combines the vintage-inspired character of David Grissom's signature design with the exceptional craftsmanship and versatility that have made PRS guitars so highly regarded. Featuring a beautifully carved Figured Maple Ten Top finished in McCarty Sunburst, this DGT delivers a striking visual presentation with classic figured maple character. The Mahogany back provides a warm, resonant foundation, creating the familiar tonal balance and richness associated with the McCarty family of instruments.
The Mahogany neck features the distinctive DGT neck carve, specifically designed to provide a comfortable and substantial playing feel. A Rosewood fingerboard with elegant Faux Bone binding is complemented by the iconic PRS Bird inlays. With 22 jumbo frets and a 25" scale length, the DGT offers excellent playability, comfortable string tension, and effortless access across the fingerboard.
At the heart of this instrument is its signature DGT pickup configuration, featuring dedicated DGT Treble and DGT Bass pickups voiced to deliver everything from warm, articulate vintage tones to powerful, expressive overdrive. The versatile electronics include independent volume controls for each pickup, a push/pull tone control, and a three-way toggle pickup selector, providing an impressive range of tonal possibilities. Whether dialing in smooth, singing lead tones, rich classic rock crunch, or clean, dynamic rhythm sounds, the DGT offers exceptional responsiveness and versatility.
Additional premium appointments include a PRS Tremolo bridge and PRS Phase III locking tuners with distinctive Faux Bone buttons. The hybrid hardware treatment adds another layer of visual character, while the instrument is fitted with a set of 11-gauge strings featuring an unwound G for the signature DGT feel and response.
