The Fender Custom Shop Postmodern Telecaster Journeyman in Wide Fade 2-Color Sunburst combines the unmistakable character of a vintage Telecaster with distinctive modern appointments and exceptional Custom Shop craftsmanship. Built around a two-piece ash body, this instrument features a beautifully aged Journeyman Relic flash-coat lacquer finish that delivers the look and feel of a well-loved vintage original. The quartersawn maple neck features a comfortable 60s-style Oval "C" profile and a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius, providing a smooth and familiar playing experience. Additional appointments include 21 narrow-tall 6105 frets, a bone nut, black Micarta dot inlays, and traditional four-bolt neck construction.

A standout feature of this Postmodern Telecaster is its CuNiFe Wide Range humbucker in the neck position, delivering the warm, full-bodied character and distinctive clarity associated with Fender's legendary Wide Range pickups. The dual-stack Tele HS wiring provides expanded tonal flexibility, while the angled pickup selector offers straightforward access to the available pickup configurations. Traditional hardware includes a '58-'63 Telecaster bridge fitted with compensated RSD brass saddles for excellent intonation and classic Telecaster attack, along with vintage Fender tuning machines and nickel/chrome hardware. A three-ply black pickguard, knurled flat-top control knobs, and Wide Fade 2-Color Sunburst finish complete its distinctive vintage-inspired appearance.
