This excellent instrument boasts a thermally aged red spruce top, yielding a punchy, direct sound with near-endless headroom, along with a beautifully resonant mahogany back and sides and period-correct hot hide glue construction. This L-00 is the perfect choice for acoustic blues; that said, its super-comfortable "Historic" mahogany neck and its easy-feeling rosewood fingerboard accommodate the full gamut of genres and playing styles. This flat-top, small-body acoustic sports eye-catching multi-ply top binding and a multi-ply rosette, understated dot fingerboard inlays, and an aged white pickguard. Moreover, the nitrocellulose lacquer finish on this 1933 L-00 replica was treated in Gibson Acoustic's Bozeman, Montana-based shop using the same aging techniques used on Gibson Custom Murphy Lab guitars.
