The PRS Limited Edition McCarty 594 Tremolo in Arctic Blue is a striking interpretation of the classic McCarty design, combining vintage-inspired character with refined craftsmanship and contemporary versatility. Its figured 10-Top flame maple top showcases an expressive grain beneath the Arctic Blue finish, creating a captivating interplay of color, depth, and natural figuring. A mahogany back provides a warm visual contrast, finished in natural to highlight the beauty of the wood. Weighing 8 lbs 2 oz, this instrument balances substantial construction with elegant proportions, embodying the distinctive aesthetic and attention to detail associated with Paul Reed Smith guitars. The result is a sophisticated instrument that feels equally at home under stage lights or in a carefully curated collection.

The flame maple neck is stained to match the top, extending the Arctic Blue aesthetic into a cohesive and beautifully integrated design. Its bound ziricote fretboard introduces rich, intricate grain patterns and a darker visual foundation for the guitar’s distinctive bird inlays. The Outline Old School Birds feature sparkling mother-of-pearl outlines surrounding pink heart centers, creating an elaborate decorative detail that sets this limited edition apart. The contrast between the shimmering inlays, figured maple, and deep tones of the ziricote gives the fretboard an unmistakable personality, bringing together traditional PRS artistry and a more expressive, contemporary visual identity.

At the heart of the McCarty 594 Tremolo are PRS McCarty III pickups, designed to deliver a versatile tonal palette with the warmth, clarity, and dynamic response associated with the McCarty family. The “408” electronics expand the instrument’s tonal possibilities, offering additional flexibility through a control arrangement consisting of individual volume and tone controls, two mini-toggle switches, and a three-way toggle pickup selector. This configuration allows the player to explore a broad range of sounds, moving from rich, rounded humbucker character to more articulate and nuanced tonal textures. A Gen III tremolo bridge adds expressive vibrato capabilities while complementing the guitar’s modern performance-oriented design.
