The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition CuNiFe Bigsby Telecaster Relic in Natural is a distinctive take on the classic Telecaster, combining traditional Fender character with a knotty pine top, two-piece ash body, and striking natural lacquer finish. The 8-pound 8-ounce instrument pairs vintage-inspired construction with the expressive feel of a Bigsby B5 bridge and tailpiece, giving it both visual character and a touch of vibrato versatility.
The flame AA quartersawn maple neck features a comfortable 60s Style Oval “C” profile, nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and 25.5-inch scale. Its 9.50-inch-radius rosewood fingerboard is fitted with 21 frets and black Micarta position markers, creating a smooth and familiar playing surface that balances vintage character with comfortable modern playability.
The SH pickup configuration combines a hand-wound Telecaster Texas Special Relic bridge pickup with a hand-wound Wide Range CuNiFe Humbucker Relic in the neck. The Texas Special delivers the focused attack and unmistakable Telecaster bite, while the CuNiFe Wide Range Humbucker provides a broader, clearer and more powerful voice. Volume and tone controls and a three-position toggle offer bridge, bridge and neck, or neck pickup selection.
Completing the package are chrome and nickel hardware, vintage Fender tuning machines, a tortoise Relic pickguard, knurled chrome Relic control knobs, and a Switchcraft top hat Relic switch tip. Strung with Fender .010 to .046 strings and housed in a tweed hardshell case, this Limited Edition Custom Shop Telecaster brings together knotty pine, ash, flame maple, rosewood, hand-wound pickups, and Bigsby vibrato in a uniquely characterful instrument.
