The Fender Custom Shop American Custom Stratocaster NOS in 3-Tone Sunburst is a refined take on the classic Stratocaster, blending traditional Fender character with modern Custom Shop craftsmanship and playability. Its two-piece ash body is finished in lacquer and presented in a striking 3-Tone Sunburst, while the NOS treatment preserves the appearance of a freshly completed vintage-style instrument rather than a heavily aged Relic.
The neck is crafted from AAA Birdseye Maple with a nitrocellulose lacquer finish and features Fender’s ’54 Soft V profile. The 25.5-inch scale and 9.50 to 12-inch compound-radius AAA Birdseye Maple fingerboard provide a comfortable progression from vintage-inspired feel to a more contemporary playing surface. Twenty-two frets and elegant abalone position inlays complete the neck, giving this Stratocaster both visual sophistication and exceptional playability.
A trio of Hand-Wound Stratocaster Dual-Mag Relic pickups delivers the familiar SSS configuration, paired with a five-position blade switch for the full range of classic Stratocaster combinations. The controls include a master volume, Tone 1 for the neck pickup, and Tone 2 for the bridge pickup. A vintage Strat tremolo provides expressive vibrato, while vintage Fender tuning machines and chrome and nickel hardware reinforce the guitar’s traditional aesthetic.
The instrument is finished with a 3-ply Parchment/Black/Parchment Stratocaster pickguard, complemented by Vintage White control knobs and switch tip. Fender .010 to .046 strings complete the setup, and the guitar is supplied with a hardshell case. Weighing 7 pounds 13 ounces, this American Custom Stratocaster offers a compelling combination of resonant ash, beautifully figured Birdseye Maple, hand-wound pickups, and classic Fender styling in a particularly elegant 3-Tone Sunburst finish.
