The Circle Strings Small Jumbo is a masterful study in balance, power, and refinement. With its broad lower bout, graceful curves, and exceptionally responsive construction, it offers much of the depth and authority of a larger instrument while preserving the immediacy, articulation, and comfort that make a great Small Jumbo so versatile. Its voice is expansive without becoming overwhelming, delivering a rich bass response, a colorful and present midrange, and clear, singing trebles that remain beautifully defined across the entire fingerboard.
At its heart is an extraordinary Old Growth Vintage Sitka Spruce top. Seasoned by time and selected for its strength and musical potential, this rare spruce gives the guitar tremendous responsiveness, headroom, and tonal complexity. Scalloped Adirondack Spruce tone bars allow the top to move freely while maintaining focus, producing a sound that is open, powerful, and remarkably alive. A light touch draws out warmth and intimate detail, while stronger playing releases impressive volume without sacrificing clarity or balance.
The Quilted Japanese Tochi back and sides are visually breathtaking. Pale and luminous, the wood is covered in deep horizontal figure that appears to ripple like silk beneath the gloss nitrocellulose finish. Its dramatic movement gives the guitar an almost three dimensional appearance, shifting beautifully as light travels across its surface.
