This guitar comes from the new Sawmill Limited series, a collection that reaches deeper into the Bourgeois approach to tonewood. The woods used for these instruments were cut and processed in the company’s own sawmill, giving the Bourgeois team intimate control over the material long before it arrives at the workbench. Grain orientation, stiffness, weight, and musical potential can all be considered from the earliest stages, allowing each set to be understood as more than a beautiful piece of wood. It becomes part of the tonal design of the guitar from the very beginning.
Western red cedar is an inspired choice for the 00-12 body. Its quick response and natural warmth give the guitar an inviting, played in character, with notes that bloom easily beneath the fingers.
