Before establishing his own voice as a builder, Max spent years apprenticing under legendary German luthier Raymond Kraut, where he absorbed a meticulous understanding of voicing, structure, and tonal balance. That lineage is unmistakably present here, yet this OM-C carries a character entirely its own: open, alive, articulate, and deeply expressive.

At just 3 lb 13 oz, this instrument feels impossibly light in the hands, and that featherweight build translates directly into its remarkable responsiveness. Every subtle movement of the right hand is rewarded with effortless bloom and clarity. Whether navigating intricate fingerstyle compositions, altered tunings, harmonic textures, or dynamic modern percussive playing, this guitar responds with speed, balance, and headroom that seem almost limitless. The 12 fret configuration lends an added warmth and fullness to the voice, while the Florentine cutaway keeps the upper register comfortably accessible. The Master Grade Swiss Moon Spruce top is stunning both visually and sonically, delivering exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio along with a quick, elastic response that gives the guitar its explosive sensitivity. The ebony bound soundhole, Master Grade Swiss Moon Spruce headstock veneer with custom inlay, and figured koa headstock backstrap all reinforce the sense that this guitar was built with extraordinary care from every angle. Additional premium appointments include Medium EVO Gold frets, a comfortable C profile neck carve, scalloped nut, brass dot side markers, and exquisite Scheller brushed brass tuning machines fitted with Rosewood buttons.

The playing experience is equally refined. A 25” scale length paired with the 1 3/4” nut width and 2 1/4” bridge spacing creates an ideal platform for advanced fingerstyle technique, while the 20” fingerboard radius offers a smooth and effortless feel across the neck. The 12 fret neck joint enhances the guitar’s resonance and warmth, giving the instrument an enveloping, piano-like character that still maintains exceptional articulation.

Though this guitar is pre-owned, it remains in excellent condition and has been carefully maintained in a studio environment. There is only light play wear present, along with two small superficial finish dings that are shown clearly in the photos. It remains beautifully set up and ready for its next player, complete with its Ivory Hiscox case.
