To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Santa Cruz Guitar Company, Richard decided to bring a favorite older model back into production for a limited run of twelve guitars in 2016. Having had such a wonderful time restoring a 1980s FTC for Eric Clapton in 2015, it was an easy choice to put the carved back, flat top F cutaway model into production once again, offering players a most unique instrument that has the projection of an archtop, with the sustain of a flattop. SCGC released one FTC a month in 2016, each unique in tone wood, appointments and finish, to make them truly one-of-a-kind. Due to the wonderful response, the FTC model is returning to the SCGC catalog as a standard model available for order and customization in 2017.

This particular instrument was on display at the 2019 Winter NAMM Show In Anahiem, California. We were lucky enough to acquire this show piece for Eddies's Guitars.
