The 2015 Taylor 812 is a beautifully refined Grand Concert acoustic guitar that delivers the exceptional craftsmanship, comfortable playability, and balanced tone for which Taylor is renowned. Featuring a Sitka Spruce top paired with Indian Rosewood back and sides, this 812 offers a wonderfully articulate and dynamic voice with plenty of warmth, clarity, and projection. Its compact Grand Concert body measures 15" wide and 4 3/8" deep, making it especially comfortable to play while retaining a full and expressive acoustic response.

The guitar features a Tropical Mahogany neck with a 1-3/4" nut width, an Ebony fingerboard with Taylor's Element inlay, and a 24-7/8" scale length. Advanced Performance bracing with Relief Rout helps provide excellent resonance and responsiveness, while the Maple binding, Abalone rosette, Ebony headstock overlay, and Ebony bridge pins with Abalone dots add tasteful visual refinement. The Rosewood pickguard complements the natural beauty of the instrument, and upgraded Gotoh 510 Nickel tuning machines, installed by Taylor in 2024, provide smooth and precise tuning stability.

This 812 has also received a pair of significant factory-installed electronic upgrades. In 2024, Taylor installed the Expression System 2 electronics along with the Taylor Sense Guitar Health Monitoring System, bringing this 2015 instrument up to date with modern Taylor technology.
