The folks at BilT guitars acted quickly and procured enough of the old-growth Redwood for a small batch of guitars to be made. We were impressed with the beautiful wood and allowed BilT and our electric manager Brett to run wild with several unique builds, featuring a wide-variety of boutique pick-up options across each model in their product range (no solid-body models were made). For a company that tends to shy away from using fancier lumber like Redwood, we were thrilled to see this opportunity present itself. Redwood is widely considered one of the most resonant tone-woods and has been used for electric guitar bodies and acoustic backs, sides, and tops for years. It has a warm, rich voice with complex overtones, providing a unique and musical voice for each instrument.
