The Fender Custom Shop '69 Stratocaster NOS in Graffiti Yellow captures the unmistakable spirit of late 1960s Fender design with a striking lacquer finish and carefully chosen vintage-inspired appointments. Its 2-piece alder body carries the classic Stratocaster shape, while the 1969 "U" shaped rosewood neck is finished in nitrocellulose lacquer and paired with a 7.25 inch radius rosewood fingerboard, 21 frets, and mother of pearl position inlays. At 7 lbs 15 oz, it has a substantial and balanced feel.
What makes this Stratocaster particularly distinctive is its HH configuration, featuring Seymour Duncan SH-55 Seth Lover humbuckers in both the neck and bridge positions. These vintage-inspired PAF-style pickups deliver warm, articulate tones with rich harmonic character, giving this Stratocaster a deeper and more powerful voice than a traditional single-coil configuration. A master volume and two dedicated tone controls are paired with a 3-position blade switch for bridge, bridge and neck, or neck pickup selection.
The vintage Strat tremolo is finished in chrome and nickel and complemented by Schaller F Key tuning machines, white plastic control knobs, a white switch tip, and a 63-76 Strat white, black, white pickguard. The Graffiti Yellow lacquer finish gives the instrument an unmistakable visual presence, while the traditional hardware and appointments preserve its vintage Fender character.
Finished with Fender .010 to .046 strings and housed in its hardshell case, this Custom Shop '69 Stratocaster is a compelling blend of vintage aesthetics and expanded tonal range. It has the familiar voice and silhouette of a classic Fender, yet the pair of Seth Lover humbuckers gives it a distinctive character all its own, making it equally at home with clean, shimmering passages and rich, singing overdrive.
