Its Engelmann spruce soundboard has been transformed into something almost elemental. Deep black and charcoal striations sweep through glowing shades of amber, bronze, tobacco, and burnished gold, giving the top the appearance of ancient timber darkened by weather and time. The natural lines of the spruce remain alive beneath the finish, creating a dramatic landscape that seems to shift under changing light. The highly figured mahogany back and sides are equally captivating, with dense, rolling figure illuminated by a warm golden center and framed by darker edges.
