The Von Strahm Electric is a meticulously crafted instrument that honors vintage tradition while delivering modern reliability and feel. Every material, dimension, and component has been carefully selected to achieve exceptional tone, balance, and long-term performance.
At its core is a one-piece alder body, finished in a hand-applied cashew resin satin/semi-gloss, offering a resonant, articulate foundation with a naturally broken-in feel. Paired with a quartersawn sugar maple neck and an old-growth Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, the guitar delivers warmth, clarity, and remarkable note definition across the entire range.
The 25.5” scale length, medium C neck profile (.850”–.950”), and compound 7.25”–9.5” radius create a playing experience that feels effortlessly familiar, comfortable for chord work near the nut and fluid for expressive lead playing higher up the neck. Jescar vintage jumbo frets and a vintage bone nut further enhance precision, sustain, and touch sensitivity.
Electronically, the Von Strahm Electric stays true to classic voicing. Period-correct Alnico 5 pickups with Formvar wire, vintage bevel, and low-G specification provide articulate highs, balanced mids, and a warm, open low end. Premium components including CTS 450 Series pots, CRL 5-way switch, Jupiter vintage .033uF tone capacitor, Gavitt cloth wiring, and a Switchcraft jack to ensure reliability and tonal integrity, controlled via a traditional master volume, neck/middle tone, and bridge tone layout.
Hardware is equally uncompromising. A Gotoh vintage tremolo with correct 2-7/32” spacing and Gotoh vintage oval-knob tuners deliver smooth response and tuning stability. All metal hardware is subtly aged, while plastic components are hand-sanded and buffed to achieve a warm, authentic vintage glow, enhancing both feel and visual character without excess relicing.
Finished with a tinted pine resin satin neck and housed in a TKL 7930 Performer case, the Von Strahm Electric is an instrument built for players who value craftsmanship, nuance, and timeless design. It is equally at home on stage, in the studio, or as a centerpiece in a serious collection. An electric guitar defined by restraint, detail, and musical integrity.
