Designed for thunderous Fender electric bass tone, the Postmodern Bass is a player’s dream, with sound, feel and style that could only have been born in the Dream Factory—the Fender Custom Shop. The ultra-comfortable two-piece body is crafted from select alder, and sports a contoured neck heel for easier upper register access, along with a dashing Journeyman Relic flashcoat lacquer finish that gives it the look and feel of a trusted onstage companion. Engineered for comfort and stability, the tinted quartersawn maple neck sports a “ ‘60s U”-shaped profile, and to make it even more comfortable to play we give it the Relic treatment, removing the finish on the back and rolling the fingerboard edges for a smooth playing feel. The Hand-Wound ’57 P Bass® split-coil pickup cranks out authentic Fender tone—the sound that made the electric bass cool. As a final touch, we added a chromed brass HiMass™ RSD bass bridge for increased resonance and sustain, along with precise intonation.

Other features include a 4-ply Brown Shell pickguard, Fender deluxe tuning machines, bone nut and round string tree with A-string retainer. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
