The Gallery Series, conceived by Bob Taylor and introduced in 2000, married visual artistry, ultraprecise cutting technology and innovative inlay materials with the goal of producing a new limited-edition model every few months featuring inlay art based on an annual theme. The series launched with the Living Jewels guitar, of which only one hundred models were produced. The Dreadnought showcased koi fish inlays winding down the fretboard and onto the top, encircling the soundhole. A vibrant aqua-blue color and a maple/spruce body gave the impression of koi swimming underwater. Bob Taylor gifted a Living Jewels guitar to Taylor Swift, who loved it so much that she purchased a second model, which became one of her preferred stage guitars and later reappeared during her Eras Tour.
This custom model pays homage to the original Living Jewels guitars, boasting the same visual aesthetic and inlay artistry with a few modern performance-enhancing alterations. Beautifully figured Big Leaf maple back and sides are paired with a Sitka spruce top in a gloss-finished Grand Pacific body with V-Class interior bracing, serving up a powerful voice with a warm, seasoned neo-vintage character. Standout appointments include gold tuning machines, grained ivoroid binding, a mother-of-pearl peghead logo, and ebony bridge pins with green abalone dots. The guitar includes ES2 electronics and ships in a Western Floral deluxe hardshell case.
This Living Jewels model is paired with a Circa 74 acoustic guitar/vocal amplifier, featuring a gloss-finished figured Big Leaf maple cabinet and matching stand, koi inlays and a complementary aquamarine color treatment. With its 150-watt, 10-inch full-range speaker, dual independent channels, Bluetooth connectivity and intuitive EQ and reverb controls, the Circa 74 amp offers warm, natural amplified sound in a stylish package.
