At its core is an exceptional Old Growth Sitka spruce top, paired with Honduran mahogany back and sides. This combination yields a tone that is dry, woody, and deeply expressive, with a quick attack and airy bloom that fingerstyle players and light strummers will immediately appreciate. The Traditional Series build features a custom pre-war scalloped X-brace pattern with an abbreviated soundboard graft, allowing the top to resonate more freely for enhanced depth and dynamic range.

The 24 7/8" short scale length provides a relaxed, inviting feel, while the Honduran mahogany neck with a Traditional profile offers a comfortable, vintage-inspired grip. An ebony fingerboard with elegant gold mother-of-pearl short dot inlays and a compound radius ensures smooth playability across every position.

Visually, this 001 Traditional strikes a perfect balance between understated elegance and vintage detail. Tortoise binding is paired with custom wood purflings and a matching tortoise pickguard, while the custom wood rosette adds a refined, organic touch. The slotted square peghead with volute, adorned with an ebony veneer and gold MOP Collings logo, completes the classic aesthetic.

Premium appointments include an ebony pyramid-style bridge, bone nut and saddle, and nickel Waverly tuners for smooth, reliable performance. Tortoise-style bridge pins and a walnut backstrip further enhance the guitar’s cohesive, period-correct look.
