The new Les Paul™ Standard returns to the classic design that made it relevant, played, and loved – shaping sound across generations and genres of music. It pays tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of innovation and brings authenticity back to life. This Les Paul Standard 50s has a solid mahogany body with a figured maple top. The warmth and midrange punch of the mahogany, paired with the added attack and brightness of the maple, is the tonewood recipe behind the Les Paul model's world-famous tone. The rounded 50s-style mahogany neck is pleasingly full in your hands and is capped with an Indian rosewood fretboard with acrylic trapezoid inlays and 22 smooth-playing medium jumbo frets. The 12" fretboard radius makes playing first-position chords easy while still being flat enough that string bends don't fret out when you play them as you solo. The Les Paul Standard 50s is equipped with an ABR-1, the classic-style Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, and an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece. The Vintage Deluxe tuners are outfitted with the classic, vintage-style Keystone buttons, and, along with the Graph Tech® nut, help keep the tuning stability rock solid. The control knobs are classic gold Top Hats that are equipped with dial pointers so you'll always know how the controls are set with just a glance. The calibrated Burstbucker™ 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) humbucker™ pickups are loaded with Alnico 2 magnets. Since they're humbucking, they are not as susceptible to noise and interference as single-coil pickups can sometimes be. The pickups are wired to audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop® capacitors and deliver the authentic Patent Applied For tones that the Les Paul Standard is famous for. A Gibson hardshell case is also included.
