The Paul Reed Smith DGT in Charcoal is a purpose built instrument designed in close collaboration with David Grissom, one of the most respected tone craftsmen in modern guitar music. David is known for his expressive touch, dynamic control, and deep roots in blues, rock, and Americana, and this guitar reflects his demand for feel, balance, and musicality above all else. As a long time PRS artist, Grissom worked directly with Paul Reed Smith to refine every detail, resulting in a model that rewards nuance and responds beautifully to the player’s hands.

This DGT features a carved figured maple Ten Top paired with a mahogany back, delivering a rich blend of clarity, warmth, and harmonic depth. The 25 inch scale length provides a perfect middle ground between snap and elasticity, while the DGT neck shape is designed for comfort and control across the entire fretboard. Twenty two jumbo frets make bending effortless, and the rosewood fretboard with faux bone binding adds a classic, elegant look and feel.

The DGT pickups are voiced specifically for this model and are a huge part of its identity. The DGT Treble and Bass pickups offer exceptional note definition, touch sensitivity, and a wide dynamic range, excelling at everything from clean, articulate passages to gritty, edge of breakup tones. The control layout is player focused, with two volume controls, a push pull tone control for coil splitting, and a 3 way toggle that allows for fast, intuitive changes on the fly.

Additional premium appointments include a PRS tremolo bridge that stays smooth and stable, PRS Phase III locking tuners with faux bone buttons, hybrid hardware, and factory installed 11 gauge strings with an unwound G for enhanced tuning stability and tonal balance. Weighing in at 8 lbs 0 oz, this guitar feels substantial without being cumbersome, making it equally at home on stage or in the studio.

Finished in Charcoal and housed in its original hard case, this PRS DGT is a refined, versatile instrument built for players who value tone, feel, and musical expression at the highest level.
