Lowden F-50 – Church Pew Mahogany & Master Sitka Spruce
Reclaimed and Salvaged Old Growth Tonewoods are some of our very favorite things! Often times, Reclaimed woods come along with their own amazing story and history. The Lowden Church Pew Mahogany Guitars is the very stuff we live for!
This perfectly quarter-sawn Honduran Mahogany was once employed as church pews in Belfast, Ireland. George Lowden, being the conservationist he is, saw a rare opportunity to use this wood as the back and sides, and necks for his amazing acoustic guitars. Rightly so, all of the Lowden Church Pew Mahogany Guitars are in the 50 Series – being the highest end offerings from Lowden.
Whether or not you consider yourself a person of the Faith, it’s impossible to deny the significance of this amazing material.. and we find it rather romantic to envision generations of music, faith and worship that surrounded these pews.
