Gallagher G-70 - Sitka Spruce & Indian Rosewood

The Gallagher G-70 represents one of the company’s most traditional and refined dreadnought builds, offering a voice that is clear, warm, and full of dynamic range. Its Sitka spruce top provides balance and headroom, while the Indian rosewood back and sides add depth, richness, and strong low end presence. The result is a guitar that handles both flatpicking and expressive strumming with confidence.

The appointments highlight Gallagher’s classic aesthetic. Ivoroid binding outlines the body, fingerboard, and headstock for a crisp, vintage look. The herringbone top purfling and matching herringbone rosette add tasteful detail, and the chevron backstrip complements the rosewood beautifully. The headstock features a Mother of Pearl G inlay, and the Diamonds and Squares inlays on the fingerboard complete the traditional styling.

A mahogany neck supports an ebony fingerboard and bridge. The 1 3/4 inch nut width, 2 1/4 inch bridge spacing, and 25.25 inch scale length create a comfortable, familiar feel for a wide range of players. Bone pins with black dots contribute to a clean, focused tonal response.

Tru-Tune chrome open-gear tuning machines offer smooth and reliable tuning performance, and the rosewood headstock veneer ties the design together. At only 4 pounds 9 ounces, the G-70 feels lively and responsive in the hands.
