The Gibson Super 400 was launched in 1934 as the biggest and highest-end archtop of the Gibson line. The electric Super 400 CES followed in 1951 and remained Gibson's flagship archtop guitar for decades. There have been several variations and reissues produced since, including this contemporary version from the Gibson Custom Shop.

  • 18” wide – 3 3/8th” deep body
  • Figured Maple back and sides
  • Multi-ply binding
  • Bound Ebony fingerboard with the Pearl split block inlays on a 3 piece figured Maple neck
  • ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge with a floating Ebony base and a trapeze tailpiece
