This guitar holds exceptional significance as one of the last Gibson instruments personally painted by Tom Murphy, who is no longer painting instruments, making it a highly collectible and historically important piece. The Lemon Burst finish captures a vibrant, sun-drenched gradient that highlights the natural flame of the hand-selected maple top, while the Ultra Heavy Aged treatment recreates decades of authentic wear, lacquer checking, and subtle patina, giving the guitar the visual character of a true vintage ’59 Les Paul.
