The Sälen, while incorporating most of the features in the original Boden design, is an undeniable tip-of-the-cap to a classic solidbody electric guitar design that has stood strong for nearly seven decades. A thoughtful synthesis of the retro-classic and cutting-edge innovation, the Sälen is at once familiar and unabashedly forward-looking. Classic tonewoods and construction techniques with modern design and radical features meld cohesively together into a seamless whole.

The chrome plated EGS Pro fixed bridge units machined out of aircraft grade aluminum play a major part in the Sälen’s unique acoustic sonic character – clear, organic and balanced with a fast and articulate pick attack. The woods used in the classic designs from the 50’s and 60’s are faithfully replicated on the Sälen models to provide all the great vintage sounds from the golden era of rock as well as country and other roots-oriented music

Electronics-wise, the Sälen models are equipped with the acclaimed Suhr Classic T bridge and neck single-coil pickups that can cover everything from biting classic rock and percussive chicken-picking to warm jazz and jangly rockabilly. The Sälen Deluxe models feature chambered bodies with Maple top for a slightly mellower tone while the Sälen Classic models have solid Swamp Ash or Alder bodies for a punchier tone with slightly more midrange. Whatever you choose, the Sälen is a modern classic you’ll want to pick up over and over again for many years to come.
