The Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster Roasted Deluxe Closet Classic in Butterscotch Blonde is a masterfully crafted blend of vintage soul and modern refinement. Its Closet Classic treatment evokes the look of a cherished instrument that has been lovingly maintained over the decades—showing only the lightest, most tasteful aging while retaining a nearly pristine aesthetic. The translucent Butterscotch Blonde finish highlights the rich grain of its roasted ash body, offering both striking beauty and enhanced resonance thanks to the roasting process that improves stability and tonal complexity.

At the heart of its playability is a premium roasted 3A flame maple neck, shaped into the comfortable and expressive ’66 Strat Oval C carve (.840" / .960"). This neck feels substantial yet effortlessly familiar, offering the perfect blend of vintage shape and modern comfort. Paired with a smooth rosewood fingerboard, a 9.5" radius, and 21 Narrow Tall 6105 frets, the guitar provides intuitive playability across the entire register—ideal for expressive bends, intricate phrasing, and classic Strat articulation. Traditional vintage clay dot inlays, a 25.5" scale length, and a bone nut complete the period-inspired feel.

Tonally, this Stratocaster shines with a trio of Handwound Fat ’60s pickups, featuring an RWRP middle pickup for noise-cancelling in positions 2 and 4. These pickups deliver chime, warmth, and glassy clarity with the added depth and push of the “Fat” ’60s winds—perfect for blues, rock, surf, and beyond. With a 5-way switch, you have immediate access to the classic Strat spectrum, from mellow neck tones to sparkling in-between positions to cutting bridge bite. The guitar is outfitted with nickel hardware, a brown tortoise shell pickguard, and the elegant RSD Strat bridge, combining vintage style with exceptional tuning stability and tonal response. Vintage-style tuners and 10–46 strings round out the setup.

Every detail of this instrument reflects Custom Shop artistry and attention to detail. It arrives with a Deluxe Hardshell Case, a strap, and a Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring it is ready for both the stage and the collection. The Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster Roasted Deluxe Closet Classic in Butterscotch Blonde is a stunning example of craftsmanship—offering timeless Stratocaster character, premium materials, and refined vintage elegance in one extraordinary guitar.

The Deluxe Closet Classic 1960 Stratocaster® is a rare and finely crafted instrument from an exclusive limited run of just five guitars, each built to nearly identical specifications. Designed for discerning players and collectors alike, this model blends vintage authenticity with modern refinement, delivering exceptional tone, feel, and visual character.
