Back in May of this year, the Eddie's team were graciously invited to tour the historic Heritage Guitars factory at 225 Parsons St in Kalamazoo, MI. Beyond being a tremendous piece of history, this is a factory that has been crafting stringed instruments for nearly a century. All of the coveted Gibson guitars of the 1950s were born in this factory and the very tooling that was used then, is still used today to construct new Heritage guitars.
After touring the old factory and it's "new" addition (added in the guitar boom of the 1950s), learning of construction methods and seeing the vintage toolings, we were also given an opportunity to hand-select guitars, tops, and bodies. This H155M's woods and it's specifications were selected by our discerning staff at 225 Parsons on that day.
Beyond the beautiful aesthetic of the Ultra grade woods on the front and back, this guitar also exhibits exceptional sonic qualities. We opted to use Lollar Low Wind Imperials for this build, as we felt this guitar deserves the very best electronics to amplify it's tremendous voicing. Experiencing the finished product leads us to believe that we have mixed together all of the appropriate specifications to make a truly excellent H-155M... It does not get any better than this.
