Huss & Dalton Electric Guitars — Acoustic Soul, Electric Power
For thirty years, Huss & Dalton has been one of America's most respected acoustic guitar builders, crafting instruments by hand in Staunton, Virginia that are played by artists including Paul Simon, Bob Weir, Molly Tuttle, Albert Lee, and Mary Chapin Carpenter. When Jeff Huss and Mark Dalton turned their attention to electric guitars, they brought everything that made those acoustics legendary with them: premium tonewoods, meticulous hand craftsmanship, an obsessive attention to resonance, and a refusal to cut corners anywhere that matters.
The result is a small but exceptional lineup of electric guitars that carry the unmistakable character of instruments built by people who genuinely love what they do.
The Huss & Dalton Difference
Every Huss & Dalton electric is built in the same Staunton workshop as their celebrated acoustics, by the same hands, to the same exacting standards. Mahogany bodies, thermo-cured carved maple tops, Brazilian rosewood fingerboards, and bone nuts are the foundation, and the electronics come exclusively from Lindy Fralin, one of the most respected pickup makers in the business. Whether you choose Pure PAF humbuckers for vintage warmth, Modern PAF humbuckers for a little extra output and clarity, or hum-cancelling P-90 soapbars for something in between, the tonal foundation is always exceptional.
These are guitars built for players who know the difference, and who want an instrument that rewards them for knowing it.
The Models
Statesboro SC — Huss & Dalton's single-cutaway flagship electric, and a guitar that draws inevitable comparisons to the great single-cut solid bodies of the 1950s while forging a character entirely its own. The Statesboro SC pairs a solid mahogany body with a hand-carved thermo-cured maple top, a full C-shaped mahogany neck, and a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl Triple Jones inlays. Fitted with Lindy Fralin Pure PAF humbuckers and an ABR-1 style bridge, it delivers warm, thick, harmonically complex tones with the kind of sustain and resonance that only comes from truly premium materials and genuinely handbuilt construction. Available in Standard and Custom configurations, with finish options ranging from Goldtop and Dark Burst to Lemon Burst and custom colors on request.
Meridian DC — Built on the bones of the Statesboro SC but completely reimagined as a double cutaway, the Meridian DC gives players full access to the upper frets while adding a comfort carved body relief on the back for all-day playability. The two volume, one master tone, and three-way switch layout keeps things intuitive, and the Lindy Fralin pickup options, including PAF Modern Humbuckers and hum-cancelling P-90 soapbars, give the Meridian a tonal versatility that belies its classic looks. Like everything Huss & Dalton builds, virtually any finish is possible, making each Meridian DC a genuinely one-of-a-kind instrument.
