Castedosa Electric Guitars — Built by a Former Fender Master Builder, Made for Everyone
Some guitar builders spend their careers perfecting their craft inside legendary institutions. Carlos Lopez did exactly that, rising through the ranks at Fender, soaking up knowledge from some of the best builders in the world, and eventually earning his place in the prestigious Masterbuilt shop where he crafted instruments for Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Robbie Robertson.
Then, in 2021, he walked away from it all to build something of his own.
He launched Castedosa alongside his wife Stephanie, who winds all of the brand's hand-wound TS pickups, making every guitar a true family creation. Even the name reflects that spirit: Castedosa is a blend of Carlos, Stephanie, and their two children's names stitched together into a single word.

As a 16-year veteran of Fender's Custom Shop, Carlos Lopez was renowned for his offbeat builds and flair for niche, alternative guitar shapes. At Castedosa, that same adventurous instinct runs through every model, instruments that feel familiar enough to pick up and play immediately, but distinct enough to stop a room cold.
Every Castedosa guitar is crafted with an eye for detail and quality you can feel, built with passion and a true love for the craft. These aren't guitars made to a price point. They're made to a standard.
The Electric Guitar Lineup
Conchers (Standard & Baritone) — The guitar that introduced Castedosa to the world, named after Carlos's late grandfather who inspired him throughout his life. The Conchers Baritone features a contoured alder body, quartersawn roasted maple neck, rosewood fretboard, and hand-wound custom Castedosa pickups, all wrapped in an optional aged lacquer finish that looks like it's been on the road for decades. The Conchers Standard brings the same soul to a 25.5" scale, set up for heavier string gauges in lower tunings and inspired by players like Ariel Posen and Madison Cunningham, perfect for those who want to explore the low end without committing to a baritone scale.
Marianna — Castedosa's T-style offering, and proof that Carlos Lopez can do refined just as well as he can do bold. The Marianna pairs a mahogany body and alder top with a quartersawn roasted maple neck, Castedosa TS humbuckers, and a Mastery bridge and tremolo, all finished with the kind of tasteful aging that makes a new guitar feel like a trusted companion from the first note. Available in Semi-Hollow and Carve Top configurations for players who want a little extra warmth and resonance.
El Halcón — Spanish for "the falcon," and every bit as striking as the name implies. The El Halcón's 27" scale provides foundation and clarity in the lower registers, while its alder body features soft contours, double cream binding with herringbone purfling, and a distinctive Halcón Guard pickguard with engraved arrows and specially designed inlays. The quartersawn roasted maple neck has a medium V profile, comfortable in the hand while offering plenty of substance, and the whole package is finished in aged lacquer that gives it a timeless, well-worn character. This is the newest model in the Castedosa family and it's already turning heads.

During his time at Fender, Carlos worked with artists including Ariel Posen, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Robby Robertson, Tyler Bryant, Josh Klinghoffer, and Eric Johnson, and that same level of artistry now goes into every Castedosa that leaves his California workshop.
