The Rickenbacker 4005V in Fire Glo is a striking recreation of one of Rickenbacker’s most celebrated semi-acoustic bass designs, pairing unmistakable vintage style with the craftsmanship and sonic authority the brand is known for. Finished in the iconic Fire Glo, the vibrant red burst fades beautifully into natural edges, accentuating the graceful curves of the semi-acoustic maple body and instantly evoking the classic Rickenbacker look seen on legendary stages and recordings.
The body is constructed from maple, delivering a clear, articulate tonal foundation with excellent projection and definition. A set-in neck made from maple and walnut enhances sustain and resonance while providing exceptional structural stability. The neck is elegantly bound, adding a refined feel along the edges, and is topped with a smooth rosewood fingerboard. Classic pearlescent triangle crown inlays complete the vintage aesthetic and ensure excellent visual reference across the fretboard.
Designed for confident, expressive playing, the 4005V features a 33 1/4″ (84.5 cm) scale length that offers a slightly extended feel with tight, piano-like low end response. The neck measures 1 11/16″ at the nut and expands to 2 1/8″ at the 12th fret, providing a solid and comfortable platform for both fingerstyle and pick techniques. A 10″ fingerboard radius and 20 frets allow smooth position shifts and even response across the neck. With an overall depth of just 31.8 mm, the bass remains comfortable and well balanced despite its bold semi-acoustic presence.
Tonally, the 4005V delivers the unmistakable Rickenbacker voice. Two Vintage Single Coil Toaster Top™ pickups produce shimmering highs, rich harmonic detail, and articulate lows that sit perfectly in a mix. The bass is equipped with both mono and stereo outputs, offering expanded tonal routing options for studio and live performance. The iconic ‘R’ tailpiece paired with a 4-saddle bridge ensures solid sustain, accurate intonation, and classic Rickenbacker feel, while Schaller machine heads provide smooth, reliable tuning stability.
With refined proportions—113.8 cm overall length, 34.3 cm overall width, and classic semi-acoustic depth—the Rickenbacker 4005V balances visual presence with player comfort. Supplied in a vintage reissue case, it arrives fully protected and presentation-ready. Identified by SKU 40500, the Rickenbacker 4005V in Fire Glo is a timeless instrument, offering iconic looks, rich semi-acoustic character, and the unmistakable sound that has defined Rickenbacker basses for generations.
