The Eddie’s Exclusive BilT Reclaimed Redwood guitars have a story that starts right in Missouri where we call home, specifically in the south-east corner of the state. Once upon a time, there was once a giant water tower made from Redwood in a small town that stood for over a century. In recent times, the tower became debilitated and was torn down to be replaced with something more modern… The bright side to losing such an epic and unique piece of a town’s history is that there was plenty of exceptional Redwood to be reclaimed for new purposes.

The folks at BilT guitars acted quickly and procured enough of the old-growth Redwood for a small batch of guitars to be made. We were impressed with the beautiful wood and allowed BilT and our electric manager Brett to run wild with several unique builds, featuring a wide-variety of boutique pick-up options across each model in their product range (no solid-body models were made). For a company that tends to shy away from using fancier lumber like Redwood, we were thrilled to see this opportunity present itself. Redwood is widely considered one of the most resonant tone-woods and has been used for electric guitar bodies and acoustic backs, sides, and tops for years. It has a warm, rich voice with complex overtones, providing a unique and musical voice for each instrument.
