Used – John Greven Prairie State – Lutz Spruce & Brazilian Rosewood (2006)

Serial Number: 1601
Weight: 4 lbs 10 oz

This 2006 John Greven Prairie State model is John’s 1601st guitar. Custom Built for a client who elected for John’s primo stash of Old Growth Brazilian Rosewood and Lutz Spruce. This guitar also has dark green abalone for its top purfling, fingerboard inlays and ornate torch headstock inlay.

The Lower Bout, in true homage to the Larson Brothers’ Prairie State line, is a wonderful 17″. The body depth is a comfortable 3.5″ deep at the heel. This shallow depth gives extra punch and clarity to the voice, with instant responsiveness. The expanded lower bout width provides energetic bass response with great sustain.

This beautiful guitar has been lovingly played, and well maintained. It has a slight impression in the top from case along the outer edges. It has a small ding below the belly bridge. It was refretted and setup by Dream Guitars, and also has a hairline crack in the fingerboard extension – also repaired by Dream Guitars.
