Jeff Jewitt SJ – Mahogany/Sitka

Serial Number: 190621

This 14 fret Small Jumbo is a big, curvy guitar that really packs a punch. Really mellow bass is not overpowering and mids and trebles are warm and sweet. Despite its size this is a light guitar with a hand-rubbed saCn finish. (My personal favorite finish) Features a Premium Sitka spruce paired with very clean, straight and quarter-sawn Honduran Mahogany back and sides with curly maple binding and vintage fine herringbone.

*Very similar to a “Lowden” finish. Instead of stopping the wet-sanding process at P1500 and then buffing to gloss, progressively finer grits of high-tech sandpaper are used to achieve a satn finish. It differs from a satn sheen lacquer because gloss lacquer is used which maintains clarity to the finish and it imparts an incredible silky feel. The process for the finish on the neck is the same.
