Let's see what Santa Cruz has to say about the Style 1:
"The Original U.S. body shapes of the fledgling C.F. Martin & Co included the Size 1, a relatively large guitar for the era.
Fast-forward to the new millennium and this design is diminutive compared to modern guitars though ironically very well suited to contemporary finger style technique.
We have introduced our interpretation of this wonderfully sized instrument to the SCGC line in response to player’s demands for a traditional sweet sounding instrument that benefits from of our ability to achieve surprising volume and presence. Appointments include 12 frets to the body, slotted peghead, Indian Rosewood and Sitka Spruce. Ebony bridge and fret board with 1 3/4" nut width are fitted to a one piece genuine Mahogany neck. This is a very complimentary addition to any guitarist’s toolkit."
