The Fender Nocaster is an iconic guitar, marking an important era in Fender history. After receiving a letter from Gretsch, asking them to remove the "Broadcaster" moniker from their single-cut-away guitars because of a name already on a well-selling Gretsch drum set, Fender had to remove the name. During this time, production on the guitars never stopped. Although, the name on the headstock was missing and only a 'Fender' logo remained. Later on, in 1952 the Telecaster was born and its name was applied to the headstock.
This Fender Custom Shop 51' Nocaster is an excellent example of one of the most important transitions that Fender has ever made. Utilizing the finest craftsmanship and materials that the Custom Shop has to offer, this is a truly excellent example of the infamous Nocaster. With all of its period correct appointments like its large U-Shape neck, ash body, Nocaster "Blonde" finish and black pick-guard, this is about as close as you can get to going back in time and purchasing one of these guitars brand new.
